The Wabash Valley Reading Association is committed through collaboration with the
International Reading Association members to promote and support reading.

Goals

To promote literacy and a love of lifelong reading in students and family members.
To work with schools and other community agencies to promote literacy.
To communicate with schools, I.R.A. members, community members, families and students regarding IRA events through various forms of media (print, e-mail, web page, media, etc.).
To provide opportunities for all students and families to enjoy literature and literature related activities.
To recognize outstanding contribution of educators, community members and students in the promotion and celebration of literacy.
