Secondary Credit,
Vocational, and Computer Classes
Youth over the age of 16 years and adults may
continue to earn credits toward their high school diploma by enrolling
in the Adult Secondary Credit (ASC) classes. This alternative
program offers a full menu of credit classes during the day and evening
throughout the school year. Adults may earn the credits needed to
complete the requirements for their diploma. Classes are
available in welding (MIG and TIG), machine trades, auto mechanics and
computers using the latest version of Microsoft software.
Adults who need to upgrade skills for entrance into postsecondary
training programs such as apprenticeship or passing the ACT test for
the Associate Degree Program may enroll in secondary credit Algebra or
English classes. Several businesses utilize the welding and
machine trades programs to upgrade the skills of the employees.
