A subtitle will be included to give a clear idea of the course content. For example, a course focusing on a specific topic in political science might be entitled “Topics in Social Science: Comparative Government.” It is also possible that a course taught under the Topics in Social Science title could focus on more than one discipline. For example, a course entitled “Topics in Social Science: The Urban Landscape” would probably include elements of both sociology and geography. This course will emphasize scientific methods of inquiry and help students to develop effective research and thinking skills.[Back]
