BENEFITS Vol. No.1 Issue No. 3 Feb. 2008
Wow, one semester down, one to go. The school year is
half over. Where does the time go? Before we know it,
spring will be here and the school year will be over.
Please read this newsletter very carefully. It is full
of reminders that we have been asked to reiterate.
First and foremost is in regard to our health insurance.
We
have closed enrollment and it has been closed for the
past several years. The only way you can obtain insurance
is through a qualifying event if you do not take the
coverage when you are hired. Qualifying events are:
MARRIAGE OR DIVORCE
BIRTH OR ADOPTION
SPOUSE HAS A LOSS OF COVERAGE
YOU GAIN OR LOSE COVERAGE UNDER ANOTHER PLAN
You have 30 consecutive days to contact the benefits
office and do the proper paperwork from the day of
the event. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIRTY CALENDAR DAYS ONLY!!!!!!!
The same goes for our Dental coverage. The same qualifying
