Here’s the deal: pick a book you haven’t read before.

Your task: to read and analyze the work and write an essay over it. Note that an analysis is not a summary. Instead, you will be evaluating the work, describing

--its good points,

--its bad points,

--how it could be improved.

Your essay should be five well-developed paragraphs in length and should contain a clear thesis statement and organizational structure.

This review will be due the last Monday of the first six weeks.

Remember—I won’t necessarily be reminding you about this.
It’s your duty to keep up on this assignment and make sure to get it done.
