RULES OF ORDER
The Board believes it can meet as a body and proceed best with its deliberations in an atmosphere of free exchange of information and opinion unhampered by formal rules of order which are usually designed for the management of large groups or organizations. Hence, the Board of School Trustees shall not consider itself bound by the rules of any certain manual of parliamentary procedure.
The President of the Board of School Trustees,
or the person chairing the meeting, may discuss, may move for the adoption
of an issue, may second a motion, and have a vote on all matters coming
before the Board. However, at any time any Board Member requests that strict
rules of parliamentary procedure be followed, it shall be mandatory that
the Chair does so although the Chair will still be allowed discussion,
move for adoption, seconding and the right to vote on all matters coming
before the Board.
