BOARD MEETING PROCEDURES

It is the desire of the Board of School Trustees that meetings shall be sufficiently formal for orderly procedure and at the same time sufficiently informal to be natural and to encourage free discussion among the board members and to promote group thinking and action.

The Board desires to be cognizant of the problems, requests, complaints, and suggestions of members of the community, but it is necessary that the Board not allow the perusal of such material to interfere with the diligent attention to the affairs of the School Corporation. To that end, an appropriate place or places will be provided in the regular agenda of the School Board Meeting for people with requests, complaints and/or suggestions to present their points of view. If the presentation of the citizens requires an answer, a proper assignment of the responsible party to answer the citizen will be made and appropriate answer delivered in writing.
