Fuqua has constructd a garden in the southwest corner of the playground. We have lots of ideas to create a wonderful educational environment for everyone to share.

Teachers, parents and students have donated materials and labor to create this special space. It has become an outdoor science lab, as well as a garden the entire community can enjoy.
Ten planting beds are connected by winding pathways. Students busily spread topsoil and mulch for fall planting. The Fuqua PTO even donated purple and gold benches!

Several garden areas with specific purposes have been created. Trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals and even vegetables have been planted throughout the year. A special garden provides food and shelter for butterflies in all their stages of development. Students at each grade level are responsible for planting and maintaining a garden.

Other campus improvement projects include enhancing our bird feeding and habitat area, and the installation of a tree farm. We know these projects will bring educational opportunities to our students as well as pleasure to the Fuqua community. Stop by and watch us grow!
