2007/2008
Kindergarten Registration
Early
registration is Friday, April 11, 2008 from
8:00-10:30 a.m. at all elementary
schools. A copy of the original birth certificate
and the immunization record will be needed.
Children need to be 5 years old on or before
August 1 in order to start kindergarten. Children
whose birthdays fall between August 2 and August
31 may apply for a Kindergarten Appeal Form. |
Our Child
"Whose child is this?" I asked one day
Seeing a little one out at play.
"Mine," said the parent with a tender smile.
"Mine to keep a little while;
To bathe his hands and comb his hair
To tell him what he is to wear;
To prepare for him his daily food
To train him - that he may always be good."
"Whose child is this?" I asked again
As the door opened and someone came in.
"Mine," said the teacher with the same tender smile.
"Mine to keep just a little while;
To teach him how to be gentle and kind;
To train him and direct his dear little mind;
To help him live by every rule
And get the best he can from school."
"Whose child is this?" I asked once more
Just as the little one entered the door.
"Ours," said the parent and teacher as they smiled.
And took a hand of the dear child.
"Ours to love and train together.
Ours - this blessed task forever,
The noblest work that has ever been given
Teaching a child for a life worth living."
