M I N U T E S

 

A Statutory Meeting regarding the 2007 Budget was held at the Vigo County School Corporation Administration Building, 686 Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana,

September 11, 2006 at 7:00 P.M.

 

The following Board Members were present:  Mr. Guille Cox, Dr. Joseph Minnis, Mr. Paul Lockhart, Mr. Michael Tom, Mr. Mel Burks, Mr. Gene Shike, and Mrs. Jackie Lower.

 

Mr. Mel Burks led the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

2007 Budget

 

Mr. Tanoos noted that the administration met with Mr. Ridens, Executive Director of the Vigo County Taxpayers Association, in reference to the 2007 Budget. With Mr. Riden’s input and advice one item on the previously presented ordering form has been changed.  He stated that seventeen (17) buses would be ordered instead of twenty (20).

 

Mrs. Donna Wilson presented the 2007 Budget as follows:

 

            a.            Appropriation Reduction Resolution – Debt Service Fund

            b.            Appropriation Reduction Resolution – Capital Projects Fund

            c.            Appropriation Reduction Resolution – Transportation Fund

            d.            Appropriation Reduction Resolution – Bus Replacement Fund

            e.            Resolution to Adopt a Transportation Bus Replacement Plan

            f.            Resolution to Adopt a Capital Projects Fund Plan

            g.            Resolution of Appropriations – Budget Form No. 4

            h.            Resolution of Tax Rates – Budget Form no. 5

 

Mr. Burks moved to approve the proposed 2007 Budget.  Mrs. Lower seconded the motion.  The motion passed unanimously.
