PUBLIC HEARING
A Public Hearing regarding the proposed additions, remodeling, and renovation to Meadows Elementary School was held at the Vigo County School Corporation Administration Building, 686 Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana, on September 27, 2004 at 7:00 P.M.
The following Board Members were present: Mr. Kenneth Schuster, Mr. Michael Tom, Mr. Mel Burks, Mr. Gene Shike, Mr. Alferd Hamblen, Mr. Guille Cox, and Dr. Joseph Minnis.
Mr. Kenneth Schuster led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Review of Project
Mrs. Camilla Correll, Executive Director of Elementary Education, and Mr. Dave Danner, Director of Facility Support and Transportation, presented an overview of the proposed additions, remodeling, and renovation to Meadows Elementary School, and responded to questions from Board Members.
Review of Funding
Mr. Thomas Thornton, Chief Financial Officer, reviewed the funding for the project and noted that all funding for the Meadows Elementary School renovation will be taken from the Capital Projects Fund.
Public Hearing – Comments/Questions
Comments in favor of the project were received from Mrs. Tina Clem, Mrs. Jo Wilson, and Mrs. Jan Hawkins.
Consideration of Proposed Resolution
Mr. Thornton presented the proposed Resolution regarding the renovation of Meadows Elementary School.
Mr. Cox moved for approval. Mr. Burks seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
