DEMING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

M I N U T E S

A Public Hearing regarding the proposed additions, remodeling, and renovation to Deming Elementary School was held by the Board of School Trustees of the Vigo County School Corporation, Vigo County Indiana, at the Administration Building 686 Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana on the 12^th day of January 2004 at 7:00 P.M.

The following Board Members were present: Mr. Michael Tom, Mr. Mel Burks, Mr. Gene Shike, Mr. Alferd Hamblen, Mr. Guille Cox, Dr. Joseph Minnis, and Mr. Kenneth Schuster.

Pledge of Allegiance

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Gene Shike.

Review of Project

Mrs. Camilla Correll presented information concerning the need for the renovation of the kindergarten and first grade facilities at Deming Elementary School.

Mr. Danner explained the scope of the project with information concerning construction and remodeling needs.

Mr. Thornton presented information on the financing of the project, pointing out that the funding will come from the Capital Projects Fund and will not require any tax increase.

Public Hearing

President Minnis opened the floor for discussion from the audience. There were no participants.

The Board discussed the renovation project.

Consideration of Proposed Resolution

Mr. Thornton presented the Resolution for approval of the project.

Mr. Burks moved for approval. Mr. Tom seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
